A DANCE OF ENERGIES - Saturday

Saturday was intense ... the work was an amazing, coactive dance of energies. The weather was cloudy and warm ... great working conditions! We had no rain until we were done for the day.

It's very difficult to describe how this team worked. As I stood back and observed, several different activities were occurring at the same time, yet everyone seemed to know exactly what they were to do. Some moved from one project to another when they felt it was time.

Our amazing trio of men, Taro, Tyler and Ian, allowed the women to lead, while they guarded and protected the integrity of the work. Maria observed how there was always one of them out on the periphery overseeing the site.

There was a thunderstorm during dinner, so we decided to gather in the great teepee for our Inka fire ceremony led by Liza at 7:30pm. We followed this by exchanging give-aways. Everyone felt loved and nurtured by receiving. It was the kind of evening where no one wanted to leave, but we dispersed at 10pm. We had another project first thing in the  morning.

VORTEX LABYRINTH 2012
Rebirthing the Sacred Circle
Following are several articles and photo albums depicting the story of the rebirthing of the Temple's Vortex Labyrinth. This is the Temple site chosen as the "Gathering Place of Praise and Celebration". Eleven dedicated individuals came together to rebirth the Sacred Circle on the Summer Solstice weekend, 2012. They worked in harmony with Mother Earth, the  Stone People, the Elementals, the great Mountain Vortex ... and each other. This was the completion of a sacred work which began 14 years earlier, in 1998.

Album 4 ~ Saturday ~ Clearing the Spiral - 57 photos
The first step in recalibrating the Labyrinth ...  was clearing the entire area energetically. This was followed by meticulously removing all the stones in the spiral. Each stone was connected with and placed where it was meant to go. It would either be recycled into the spiral, or be placed at the altar.
It was a very intense, labourious morning. However, we completed the clearing just in time for lunch.
Album 5 ~ Saturday ~ Rebuilding the Spiral - 32 photos
With the enormous job of clearing the site completed, we came back after lunch with renewed vigour to rebuild the Labyrinth spiral.
Album 6 ~ Saturday ~ Recalibrating the Labyrinth - 24 photos
We utilized all our senses while checking the site over and over, tweaking stones when we found misalignments ... energetically or otherwise. We repeated this process until everything felt balanced and complete.
Album 7 ~ Sacred Fire Ceremony - 10 photos
Saturday evening, we had planned a fire ceremony at the firepit near the Labyrinth. However, it poured from dinner onward. So we gathered in the great teepee ... a wonderful temple for our ceremony.
Album 8 ~ Sunday ~ Building the Altar - 25 photos
This was an amazing endeavour. We worked very hard in spite of the pouring rain that drenched us relentlessly.
ALTAR BUILDING & INITIATION -  Sunday

Sunday morning brought dark, heavy clouds and pouring rain. Donning our wetgear, we dove into the work with great enthusiasm. As we completed building our altar, a Buddha was placed upon it. At that very moment, there was a *brilliant*flash*of*lightning* and a large *clap*of*thunder*! We all hooted and hollered, and jumped up and down. It was a clear sign to us that the "job was done ...and 'well' done at that!" Everyone was drenched from a morning in the pouring rain, but you couldn't tell by the smiles on our faces!

As we gathered for lunch in the QL diningroom, the deluge continued, and we realized that our proposed afternoon initiation and celebration might have to be postponed.

After lunch, we reconvened in the sanctuary tent. A decision was made to gather around the Labyrinth and allow Spirit to speak through each and every one as guided. And so we did.

Many utterings were voiced ... "Peace; Namaste, Simplicity; Unity ... !!! This went on for several minutes ... and as I listened, a vision appeared. I saw the group initiating the Labyrinth by walking it for the first time as a single entity ... a 'snake-like' creature making it's way upon the sacred path. I asked Ian (our friendly giant) to lead the group to the centre and to remain there. And so we began our initiation walk. I walked at the end.

As we were coiled together in the spiral at the centrem prayers were spoken and tears were shed as Mother Earth, her stone people, all her creatures, the elementals, the Vortex ... and Father Sun were drawn into our embrace and into our hearts. The connection was powerful ... and all encompassing. We stood there in the glow of our 'Oneness' for several minutes, while the cleansing rain renewed the entire area.

Then I asked everyone to hold hands with the persons on either side of them. Ian, at the other end of the snake, happened in front of me. He turned around and we joined our free hands, closing the spiral. The Orobourus blessed our work ... coming full circle! Completion!

I then began to lead our sinuous Oneness out of the Labyrinth. Prayers were being uttered as we slowly wound our way out. A beautiful brown, beige and terracotta butterfly made its presence known as it lit upon a rock. We all stopped to appreciate our visitor and gave thanks for the acknowledgement of transformation that it represented.

Then someone began to sing, "I am a happy wanderer .... " and we all sang a few verses. Another person started to "OM" and the group picked it up and we "OM"ed for a time. We felt so much JOY ... it bubbled up within!!! We could feel the newness ... the anticipated openings ... and the free flow of the powerful vortex energies. The Labyrinth felt so CLEAR and so RIGHT! We spontaneously yelped like Natives and continued to 'slither' our way out like a group of happy children.    The sense of Unity was GRAND!  COMPLETION!

VORTEX LABYRINTH CELEBRATION -  Thursday, June 27th

As we exited the Labyrinth that Sunday, we stood in circle at the entrance, where we discussed our 'celebration'.

It was clear that it was not meant to be THAT day, so we made a decision to have an official celebration during the week, on a warm evening when Father Sun was shining. We also decided to invite all our dear family and friends to join us in this celebration of *transformation*.
